Poems and Pictures

The Eclipse

I stood out in the open cold
To see the essence of the eclipse
Which was its perfect darkness.

I stood in the cold on the porch
And could not think of anything so perfect
As mans hope of light in the face of darkness.

-I thought this was a really nice poem, because I like being up at night wayyyy more than being up during the day. I'm a total night owl, and its nice to be by yourself at night.

One by one each year flew by,
Since you both said “I do"
25 years of memories,
Shared by the two of you.
From big events and holidays
To simple daily pleasures,
Some tearful times along life’s way,
Some joys that can’t be measured
One by one each year now gone,
But still they’re yours forever
Each and every memory,
Of a quarter Century together!

-So this poem reminded me of my parents, because they are going to celebrate their 25 Wedding Anniversary this August.
